Construction of 10 x One-Bedroom Single Officers' Quarters – 175 NAF Detachment

The welfare and living conditions of military personnel are directly correlated with their morale, operational effectiveness, and the overall effectiveness of Nigeria's armed forces. Recognizing this critical link, the Nigerian Air Force, through the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, contracted Blue Sea Services Limited to construct a block of 10 one-bedroom single officers' quarters at the 175 Nigerian Air Force Detachment in Gombe State. This project provided purpose-built, comfortable, and dignified residential accommodation for junior officers posted to the detachment, replacing inadequate or temporary shelter arrangements that had previously affected the welfare of personnel at this strategic installation. Each one-bedroom unit was designed to provide a self-contained living space with a bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, and a bathroom with toilet, all constructed and finished to the Nigerian Air Force's facility standards for officers' accommodation. The block was constructed using reinforced concrete frame and block wall construction methods, with durable roofing, quality floor and wall tiling, painted finishes, complete electrical installations with lighting and fans, standard doors and burglar-proof windows, and external plumbing connections for water supply. Blue Sea Services Limited engaged a dedicated site team with experience in military and government facility construction to execute this project, ensuring full adherence to the approved designs and specifications provided by the Air Force Directorate of Works. The completed officers' quarters were inspected, certified, and formally handed over to the 175 NAF Detachment, providing immediate benefit to the officers who took up residence. This project underlines Blue Sea Services Limited's commitment to supporting the welfare and operational readiness of Nigeria's armed forces through the delivery of quality infrastructure.
