Construction of 2-Bedroom Semi-Detached Bungalows (Type A)
As part of the Federal Government of Nigeria's national housing delivery programme, Blue Sea Services Limited was commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing to construct two blocks of two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows (Type A) in Adamawa State. This project extended the federal housing initiative to the North-East region of Nigeria, where housing demand significantly outstrips supply and where the effects of insurgency have further exacerbated the housing deficit for displaced and returning populations. Blue Sea Services Limited executed this project with the full complement of technical expertise and project management discipline that has defined its housing delivery track record. The construction process encompassed detailed site preparation including clearing, setting out, and subsoil investigations; the construction of reinforced concrete foundations and superstructure in compliance with federal building standards; block wall construction using high-quality sandcrete blocks; roofing with durable long-span aluminum roofing sheets; internal and external plastering and rendering; installation of durable floor tiles; installation of modern bathroom and toilet fittings; complete electrical wiring and fitting including distribution boards, switches, sockets, and light fittings; installation of doors and windows with appropriate security fittings; and external works including compound drains, walkways, and boundary walls. Every stage of construction was supervised by qualified site engineers and subject to quality control inspections to ensure full compliance with the approved drawings and specifications. The completed bungalows were formally inspected by the client's representatives, certified as meeting all requirements, and handed over for allocation to beneficiaries. This project stands as further evidence of Blue Sea Services Limited's consistent ability to deliver quality federal housing across diverse geographies in Nigeria.
